SA-2 Guideline (RWR: 2)

An SA-2 / S-75 site usually contains the following;
The tracking radar is said to be fooled via notching and chaff bursts of at minimum 4 per second. Chaff on its own is 3× more likely than normal to spoof the V-755. Missiles have no guidance of their own: defeat the track radar to defeat the missile. Missiles guidance is fairly stupid, and can be dragged into the ground. It is also completely unable to track targets at sub 300 ft altitudes, leaving it vulnerable to low runs.

In the event that a missile is fired at you and you either cannot locate the missile visually like what happened on MSN:303FG21823 https://www.v303rdfightergroup.com/...on-hedge-of-protection-phase-1.1029/post-3626 or bad weather prevents this you have 2 options. The first option is – much like the visual method – to drag the missile and defeat it kinetically. Secondly you can perform another slice/break into the missile path (hopefully the RWR will be illuminated giving you a rough direction of the Fan Song and thusly the location of the missile). Again You can defeat the missile by driving it into the ground by adopting a nose low attitude which cause the missile to vector downwards into the ground.
