Hi Everyone!
I've been involved with DCS since roughly 2010. I've been on a two year hiatus but getting back up to speed quickly.
Aviation life story in a paragraph:
My grandfather flew the B-24 Liberator in WWII and my dad was a private pilot, so I grew up going to air shows and flying around in a Cessna. Wanted to be a career pilot and got my private, instrument, commercial between 2011-2013 after college. Took a hard look at the industry at the time and said no thanks. Kept flying for fun, flew a piper cub and globe swift in a partnership. 2021 made a career change, I was hired at a US regional airline and recently upgraded to Captain, flying the CRJ 7/900.
Now late 30's and two young kids at home. I've been active in DCS for years but had to take a break when my 2nd child was born. My stuff got moved out to the garage and I lost interest and really had no time for it between a new baby at home and a new airline career. Now back on the horse. I've been a part of other squadrons in the past and it really is the best way to experience DCS. Talking to
Wing this seems like a good fit for me, and I'm excited to join you all!
