Metrea Simulations - Tracking the potential "next-gen flight study-sim"

Now before you get too excited, note that this is not being marketed to the consumers currently. It's being marketed primarily to the military. "NOR platform brings the cutting edge technology and accessibility of commercial gaming engines to the high-end military training and simulation market.

We need a flight simulation software that’s built from the ground up for VR. I think DCS is really missing the boat by not catering to VR enough. They probably underestimate how many DCS players would switch to VR in a heart beat if the DCS in VR was a lot better.

The artwork for the F-16 cockpit is some of the most photorealistic stuff I've ever come across.

Now with that said, DCS is great - and it serves our current hobby purposes decently for the time being. It is just interesting seeing what new-tech could truly bring to the table. And to see it already in action under the DOD contract world... gives us some potential consumer hope in the future. To be completely honest-not to sound morbid, but in reality, as far as our "lifetime" span... I can realistically only seeing DCS, Metrea, or maybe one other new contender come into this flight sim playing field (study sim) before we pass away. This kind of project takes tons of time to come into fruition and mature... so the options are already limited. Either way, competition is good - and I hope it continues to evolve plenty more years ahead of this hobby!
