Description
The SA-8 Gecko is a highly mobile, low to medium altitude command guided short range air defense system. The SA-8 TELAR comprises of a six cell launcher and a fire control radar that consists of two radars, a rotating surveillance antenna mounted on top that operates in the H-Band with a 30km acquisition range against most targets. The engagement radar operates in the J-band with a maximum range of about 20km. The TELAR also has a J Band antenna to track the missile and a I-band uplink to guide the missile. The Gecko is fully amphibious propelled by two water jets at the rear. The Gecko can guide two missiles at a time onto one target. The Gecko can track the target optically with the TOV target tracking camera allowing the Gecko to minimize radar emissions until a missile is fired.Threat Analysis
The Gecko presents a moderate threat to helicopters if uncareful and a moderate threat to low flying fixed wing. The Gecko can only engage one target at once. Priority target for SEAD & CAS aircraft. Detectable via RWR, triggers RWR launch warning. Suppress with ECM. Engage with anti-radiation and stand-off munitions. SA8 launchers face the aft of the vehicle, so the front is a blind spotSpecifications

Sustained 8-9g turns+Chaff/Beam/Retain High Airspeed//Destroy each unit. SEAD: HARM+Cluster Bombs~Standoff attack with AGM-65 and ECM.
Missile uses lead pursuit course. Medium chaff resistance. Can be defeated kinematically. Site consists of 4x launchers, each needs to be destroyed separately.
Site will engage with 1 missile per launcher present at the site. If there are 4 launch vehicles present 1 aircraft will have up to 4 missiles fired at it should the aircraft pass into the engagement zone of the vehicles.
