Hi everyone
Thanks for letting me join your group!
Born and raised on a farm/acreage in rural Alberta Canada. Was always interested in aviation growing up watching spray planes and hanging around the airport with my grandpa who retired with Air Canada (wasn’t a pilot)
Started my aviation career getting my commercial Heli licence. Was lucky to get a job flying mostly in the oil patch in Northern Alberta and B.C. I got some what good with the longline (100-150’) and started doing seismic work, dropping bags of cables and geophones for the crews. This took me all over Western Canada, Montana, New York, Pennsylvania etc. in between seismic jobs I dabbled in a few fires, drill moves, etc. Aircraft I flew were R44, bh06, Hu500D as350b2.
Met my wife and was sick of never being home. So started flying spray planes for the local aerial applicator. He retired and I managed to buy my own plane and built the business over the last 15 years or so. Me and my buisness partner joined our companies 6 years ago and fly 2x510P thrushes and one Thrush 710.
Spraying keeps me busy in the summer while being a hockey dad in the winter is my favourite past time. I have a Piper Super Cub that keeps me current flying and tinkering with when not watching hockey games in the off season.
Although I have no military back ground I look forward to learning some tactics and systems in the Apache and Kiowa.
Thanks again
