KING HUSSEIN AIR BASE, Jordan -- After a challenging and successful three-month deployment supporting the US Central Command's Operation Hedge of Protection in Jordan, the v303 Fighter Group's A-10Cs from the v303 Fighter Squadron and F-16Cs from the v93 Fighter Squadron have returned triumphantly to Nellis Air Force Base.

The deployment marked a significant chapter in the ongoing fight against ISIG, demonstrating the unwavering commitment of the United States and its allies to ensure global stability and security. The v303 FG played a pivotal role in this mission, working in tandem with coalition forces to dismantle ISIG strongholds and protect innocent lives.

Throughout their deployment at King Hussein Air Base in Jordan, the v303 Fighter Group's A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, affectionately known as "Warthogs," showcased their remarkable versatility and ruggedness. Their superior close air support capabilities, combined with the precision and firepower of the v93 Fighter Squadron's F-16 Fighting Falcons, proved crucial in eliminating high-value targets and providing air cover for ground operations.

The Command team of the v303 FG, expressed their pride in the accomplishments of the team: "Our members have once again demonstrated their exceptional skills and dedication to our mission. Their unwavering commitment to safeguarding our nation and our allies is truly commendable."

The members of the v303 FG faced numerous challenges during their deployment, including harsh weather conditions and ever-evolving tactics employed by ISIG forces. Despite these challenges, the group consistently maintained a high level of professionalism and adaptability, earning the respect of their fellow coalition members.

"We were proud to stand side by side with our international partners in Operation Hedge of Protection," said a pilot with the v93 Fighter Squadron. "This deployment exemplified the strength of our alliances and our collective determination to eradicate terrorism from its roots."

As the A-10s and F-16s taxied down the runway at Nellis Air Force Base, a palpable sense of accomplishment and relief filled the air. With their successful deployment against ISIG in support of Operation Hedge of Protection now behind them, the v303 FG's members are set to transition back to B-Course an Mission Qualification Training in preparation for their next deployment rotation starting in January 2024.
